What to say when you call

Just start with what’s going on with you or your loved one. Maybe you have a specific question — a decision you’re weighing, something an attorney or school asked for. Maybe all you have is a list of symptoms and a feeling that something isn’t adding up. Either is fine. Part of our job is helping you find the right question.

You’ll be told what’s involved, what it costs, how long it takes, and what an evaluation can and can’t answer. If your timing is tight — a test date, a court date, a school deadline — mention that first.

There’s no pressure at any point. Some people who call don’t need an evaluation at all, and we’ll tell you so. If this isn’t the right practice for you, we’ll say that too, and point you somewhere else.
